Non-surgical Rhinoplasty & Nose Surgery
Nose surgery is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures and has been for years. In the past, rhinoplasty was the only available option for patients looking to improve the size and shape of their nose. Non-surgical rhinoplasty avoids the common risks of surgical rhinoplasty such as scarring, difficulty breathing through the nose, poor cosmetic results and the long recovery time and discomfort.
Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Overview
Non-surgical nose surgery take about thirty minutes to perform. This procedure involves the use of dermal fillers to even out the shape of the nose. Sometimes you may be unhappy with a very small area of the nose, and all that is required is some filler under the skin to plump it out. This is the most non-invasive method of rhinoplasty.
Restylane or Radiesse are injected to fill depressions, smooth out sharp angles, or change the angle of the tip of the nose, restoring symmetry and making your nose appear more attractive and in better harmony with your face. Anesthesia is not required for this procedure because there is minimal pain and discomfort associated with this procedure. You are completely awake during the procedure, and you have the opportunity to look at yourself in a mirror and enjoy complete control over the results. All of the hyaluronic acid fillers can be easily removed if you are unhappy with the results for any reason.
During your initial consultation, plastic surgeon Dr. Azizzadeh will evaluate your unique needs, desired end result, and explain the nose surgery thoroughly. You will decide together which type of filler will work best for your body and skin type to achieve the look that you desire. Dr Azizzadeh will use Vectra 3D digital imaging technology to further ensure you both agree on the desired results.
Because a non-surgical rhinoplasty is non-invasive, there are no stitches, casts or scar tissue to be concerned about. The results can last up to 12 months. You can go back to your normal routine immediately after the procedure. Sometimes there is some swelling and bruising, but rarely enough to be bothersome. Not every patient is a good candidate for this type of non-surgical rhinoplasty. Dr. Azizzadeh will personally evaluate you to ensure you will be able to obtain the results you desire.
Although injectable fillers are used by many doctors such as dermatologists and plastic surgeons, to get an excellent result the surgeon needs to know appropriate nasal anatomy and the right location to place the filler. Although a non-surgical rhinplasty will not correct the more severe problems with the nose, it is a great alternative to traditional rhinoplasty for patients who want to correct a slight imperfection of the nose.
