Report: More Young Adults Undergo Plastic Surgery
While plastic surgery is most common among older patients who want to appear younger, a recent report from InSights Consulting Firm shows that this might be changing. According to the study, roughly 15% of young adults in the U.S have plans to undergo plastic surgery. Based on the findings, it seems like facelifts and breast procedures are the most popular. Many medical practices across the country claim thosestatistics are reflected in their respective areas.
According to the report, 9 out of 10 girls and 7 out of 10 boys would like to change something about their bodies if they could. Out of the group of people that do not wish to make surgical changes, a majority of them expressed an interest in non-invasive procedures like Botox and fillers.
Today, plastic surgery is out in the open and accepted by a vast majority of the population. In general, younger people actually tend be more interested in talking about it than people in their 50´s or older.
But despite the increase in young patients in recent years, it is incredibly important to remember that not all procedures are right for young adults who may still be developing. At the CENTER, potential patients need an extensive consultation with Dr. Azizzadeh before even considering their options.
