How Long Does A Facelift Last?

How long does a facelift last? What factors determine how long a facelift will last?

Dr. Azizzadeh’s Expert Answer

It is difficult to say how long a facelift lasts because it depends on the patient. Your age, gender, genetic factors, diet, environmental factors, and many other factors have to be taken into consideration. With that said, we do know that results will last longer in younger patients (45-60) because of better skin elasticity. Moreover, the results for patients who smoke and have excessive sun exposure will have a shorter duration. In short, and without all the specifics, I can tell you this: Facelifts usually set back the clock 5-15 years, and the aging process depends on the individual.
